Experience with Other Cultures

As a member of the UNA Swim Club, it's my job to make all of our members feel welcomed and included during practice, formal meetings, parties, meets, and other club-sponsored events. This is especially true for our foreign exchange students, where the team works together to make them feel welcome and comfortable in the Florence community. It has been a wonderful experience to form closer bonds to these students and learn more about their home countries, cultures, hobbies, etc. while also helping them settle into American life. The team is always available to answer questions and help out if they need assistance around campus and the town.
